What is the difference between average speed and average velocity?

There is more than one correct answer.

Correct answers: B and D. Speed is distance divided by time whereas Velocity is displacement divided by time. There is a huge difference! Because velocity has a magnitude and direction we consider it to be a vector. Speed is simply a number, thus we consider it to be a scalar.
