What is apparent weight?

wer: D. Weight alone is measured on a scale. A scale measures the normal force. Apparent weight is also measured on your sale. However, depending on the situation, your scale might read less than what you actually weigh. Take this extreme example: You’re on a roller coaster traveling at 100 miles an hour. At the very top you feel as if you are going to fall off the seat! At this point, if you were to put a scale on your seat, it would read close to 0! This is your “apparent weight.”
